The Haikou-Macao route resumes Hainan to receive the first batch of inbound tourist groups

China News Agency, Haikou, March 17 (Fu Yuqun, Zhang Yuehe) Hainan Airlines flight HU7935 took off from Haikou Meilan International Airport to Macau on the evening of the 17th, marking the official resumption of the passenger route from Haikou to Macau.

The route is operated by Hainan Airlines, using B737 aircraft, and operates every Friday and Sunday. The outbound flight number is HU7935, and the inbound flight number is HU7936.

Up to now, Haikou Meilan International Airport has successively resumed five international and regional passenger routes between Haikou and Hong Kong, Phnom Penh, Bangkok, Singapore, and Macau, and plans to resume international routes such as Jakarta and intercontinental routes such as Sydney in the future.

With the continuous opening of overseas routes, Hainan’s cross-border tourism market is getting hotter. On the evening of the 17th, a Macau tour group received by Hainan Youtuan International Travel Service Co., Ltd. will arrive in Haikou. This group is the first batch of inbound tourism groups to enter Hainan after the resumption of domestic inbound tourism.

Wang Tiezhu, general manager of Hainan Youtuan International Travel Agency Co., Ltd., said that the 3-day and 2-night tour for Macau inbound tourists has a rich itinerary, and they have planned in-depth sightseeing experiences in Haikou and Wenchang. Chicken and other delicacies allow tourists to experience the local fireworks in Hainan.

Hainan is accelerating the resumption of opening of overseas routes. Since the beginning of this year, around the goal of building an aviation regional gateway hub facing the Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean, Hainan has set up a special team to coordinate and plan to promote the resumption of overseas routes and the opening of aviation rights.

According to Wang Junqing, director of the Civil Aviation Office of the Hainan Provincial Department of Transportation, Hainan will also promote the resumption of international routes from Haikou to Ho Chi Minh City, Jakarta, and Kuala Lumpur. At the same time, Hainan will actively connect with interested airlines, and promote the implementation of the seventh aviation right opening policy in Hainan as soon as possible, so as to build a more convenient “air bridge” for Hainan Free Trade Port to connect to the world.
