The distance between the advertisement and the logo should not be less than 1 meter

The setting of the urban comprehensive passenger transportation hub identification system is a big question. In the transportation hub where subways, national railways, taxis, long-distance vehicles, and public buses are intertwined, how to set the signs to avoid getting lost? On October 27, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Market Supervision issued a notice on its official website soliciting opinions on the local standards of Beijing on the “Design Specifications for Urban Comprehensive Passenger Transport Hub Identification Systems” (hereinafter referred to as the “Specifications”). A reporter from Beijing Youth Daily noted that the “Specifications” emphasized the unity, continuity and integrity of the signage system for multiple modes of transportation. At the same time, it is also clearly stated in the setting of the pedestrian sign system that the sign setting should take priority over the advertisement, and the distance between the advertisement and the sign should not be less than 1 meter. In addition, detailed design requirements are put forward for both intelligent information signs and barrier-free signs. The call for comments will close on November 27.

Ads should not be mixed with primary logos

The draft of the Specification clarifies the scope of the hub identification system, which should include public transfer areas, railways, subways, buses, long-distance, cars, taxis, non-motor vehicles and other connecting traffic areas. It is required that the signage system of rail transit, road traffic, bicycles, pedestrians and other modes of transportation should be unified, continuous and complete, and visual elements such as advertising, culture and art should be coordinated simultaneously to ensure the priority and leadership of the signage system.

The “Specification” also stipulates the phenomenon that advertisements in some transportation hubs are distracting in the sign setting. For example, in the setting of the pedestrian sign system, it is mentioned that the advertisement should not be mixed with the first-level or second-level signs. The sign setting should take priority over the advertisement, and the distance between the advertisement and the sign should not be less than 1 meter. In terms of the continuity of signs, the “Specifications” require that pedestrian road sections, intersections, and bus stops within 500 meters from the pedestrian entrance of the hub site should be set up to guide signs to the hub, and the road forks around the hub should be set symmetrically. When the straight-line distance of pedestrians exceeds 200 meters, the information to the hub should be repeatedly guided. For vehicle dealer signs, the “Specifications” stipulate that hub guidance signs should be set up within 3 kilometers to 5 kilometers from the transportation hub, and the vehicle dealer guidance system should also include dynamic signs that display the remaining parking space information in real time.

The smart logo is still displayed for no less than 3 seconds

In recent years, intelligent signs have begun to appear in public places, and their flexible and convenient conversion methods are favored by many managers. The “Specification” also stipulates the application of intelligent information signs in transportation hubs.

Intelligent information signs include electronic dynamic signs, electronic man-machine interactive signs, and intelligent information signs such as intelligent road asking machines and micro-navigation can be set up as needed. It can be divided into three categories according to the use function: intelligent traffic, intelligent service and intelligent evacuation. When should intelligent information identification be used? It is mentioned in the “Specification” that when the static identification information cannot meet the functional requirements and dynamic and volatile information needs to be displayed, intelligent information identification can be set to supplement and improve the information. At the same time, after the intelligent information logo is turned on, a single-page screen should be used to display information; when turning pages or scrolling, it should not exceed two pages, and the static display time of each page should not be less than 3 seconds.

Barrier-free routes can be equipped with intelligent navigation belts

The construction of barrier-free environment reflects the temperature and civilization of a city. The draft of the “Specification” focuses on the setting of barrier-free signs for pedestrians and vehicles. For example, it is stipulated that the barrier-free facilities of the hub should be equipped with barrier-free signs, and the barrier-free signs should be installed along the barrier-free route planned in the hub to guide passengers to go to the main functional areas and barrier-free facilities independently; Set up an intelligent navigation belt to guide the disabled, visually impaired, the elderly and other passengers in need through electronic voice or intelligent lighting; the installation height of the barrier-free sign should also be convenient for wheelchair passengers to view, and the line of sight should not be blocked.

In the setting of barrier-free signs for vehicles, it is mentioned that barrier-free signs should be installed at the parking spaces of barrier-free motor vehicles in the parking lot (garage). Barrier-free motor vehicle parking space markings shall be placed on the ground, and barrier-free motor vehicle parking space signs shall be set up on the ground at the same time. Guidance signs shall be continuously set up on the driving path from the entrance of the parking lot (garage) to the barrier-free motor vehicle parking space, and between the barrier-free motor vehicle parking space and the main functional area of the hub.
