On October 28, the 2022 Changsha Marathon Organizing Committee issued an announcement stating that in accordance with the requirements of the superior epidemic prevention and control work, in order to protect the health and safety of the majority of runners, the organizing committee has carefully studied and decided that the original plan will be held on November 6. The 2022 Changsha Marathon held will be adjusted from offline competition to online competition. At the same time, runners who have successfully registered and paid the fees can choose to keep their qualifications until the 2023 Changsha Marathon or apply for a refund.

Nandu reporters noticed that the Changsha Marathon was founded in 2015 and has held five offline events so far. Affected by the epidemic, the Changsha Marathon in 2020 and 2021 will be changed to online competitions. The 2022 Changsha Marathon was originally scheduled to start on the morning of November 6, with three events: 42.195 km marathon, half marathon and 5 km happy run. and other attractions.

On the same day, the Wuxi Marathon Organizing Committee issued an announcement that in order to prevent the risk of the spread of the epidemic and ensure the health and safety of runners, staff and citizens, the Organizing Committee decided to postpone the 2022 Wuxi Marathon originally scheduled to be held on November 6, 2022 to 2023.
