Chinese badminton star Lin Dan and Malaysian badminton star Lee Chong Wei were officially inducted into the World Badminton Federation Hall of Fame.
World Badminton Federation Chairman Larson said at the ceremony that day that Lin Dan and Li Zongwei played an important role in promoting the development of badminton, and their matches attracted many fans and athletes to join the sport.
Lin Dan said in his speech at the ceremony that although he has left the international arena, he will continue to do a good job in the promotion of badminton, so that more young people like badminton. He also said: “It is a great honor to be inducted into the Hall of Fame with my rival and my friend Lee Chong Wei.”
In his speech, Li Zongwei expressed that he hopes to do more to promote the popularization of badminton after retiring. He will also discuss with Lin Dan how to make more people like this sport.

Lin Dan and Lee Chong Wei set multiple records during their long careers. Lin Dan has won the Olympic Men’s Singles Championship twice and the World Championships Men’s Singles Championship five times.
