The Wuxi Marathon Organizing Committee issued an announcement on October 28 that, in view of the severity of the current situation of new crown pneumonia epidemic prevention and control, in order to effectively protect the health and safety of the majority of runners, staff and citizens, after careful research and decision, it was originally scheduled to be scheduled for November this year. The 2022 Wuxi Marathon held on March 6 has been postponed to 2023 until further notice.

  The race news released together with the announcement mentioned that the 2022 Wuxi Marathon’s alternate work will be carried out after the restart of the race. Previously, only the withdrawal of the runners was accepted, and the quotas were not replenished.

  Players who have not obtained a quota and have not applied for a refund will participate in the waiting list after the restart in the original waiting order by default, and no operation is required. Players can apply to withdraw from the stand-by at any time before obtaining the official qualification, and the registration fee will be refunded in full within seven working days after submitting the application.

  Contestants who have obtained the entry quota will retain the entry quota by default. If they do not participate in the competition, they can apply for withdrawal at any time before the designated withdrawal date announced after the restart of the competition. The registration fee will be fully refunded within seven working days after the application.

  The 2022 Wuxi Marathon is hosted by the Propaganda Department of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Jiangsu Provincial Sports Bureau, and the Wuxi Municipal People’s Government.
