Overwatch 2 surpasses 25 million players in 10 days

Overwatch 2 has hit some snags since launch, from server issues and DDoS attacks to all kinds of nasty bugs, but that doesn’t seem to have made much of an impact on the game’s initial player data. It can be said that Blizzard’s sequel to this hero shooter is off to a good start.

Blizzard recently announced on Twitter that Overwatch 2 had amassed more than 25 million players within 10 days of its release. It’s a great start, and certainly not surprising given the size of the IP and how long Overwatch 2 has been highly anticipated. However, unlike the previous work, the status of “Overwatch 2” as a free game this time has undoubtedly played a big role in promoting the user data at the beginning of its release.

Overwatch 2 is currently available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
