Nintendo Switch Sports servers will be back to normal today

Nintendo has announced that the game’s Nintendo Switch Sports servers will be back online today (October 18), and players affected by the recent outage will receive an extra week of Nintendo Switch Online membership.

Previously, the Nintendo Switch Sports server went offline and the cloud data backup function was suspended. This was all due to a major bug added to the game in last week’s 1.2.1 update, which caused pre-game loading during online and offline games. The screen game will crash.

The game server and data backup features have been offline since then. A few days ago, Nintendo has officially released an update, confirming that the crash was caused by a save file write error in some cases, and said that all functions will be restored in two waves this week.

Today, October 18th, server maintenance will end and the Nintendo Switch Sports 1.2.2 update will be released. Officials say that online game functionality will be restored after this update, but the archive data backup service will be restored in the second update 1.2.3, which will be released on Thursday, October 20th.
