Mortal Kombat’s new title “Mortal Kombat: Onslaught” announced as a mobile game

Warner Games recently announced Mortal Kombat: Onslaught, a new mobile game in the Mortal Kombat series, which was developed by NetherRealm Studios and will be released in 2023.

The new game was announced to coincide with the 30th anniversary of Mortal Kombat, which has sold 72 million copies in total, including 12 million for Mortal Kombat 11, according to Warner Bros.

Ed Boon, chief creative officer at NetherRealm, said: “We are pushing the boundaries of Mortal Kombat, allowing players to experience the franchise in new ways while maintaining the core essence of the game.”

“With Mortal Kombat: Onslaught, we’ve reimagined Mortal Kombat as a team-based strategy RPG with fast-paced team melee combat that fans old and new can enjoy.”
