Microsoft’s Windows 11 system updates are usually rolled out in stages and can take weeks to complete. However, Twitter user @PhantomOfEarth has discovered a hidden option in the latest Canary preview Build 25314 that will allow users to get Windows updates as soon as possible.

This option is not yet sure whether it is effective, but it proves that Microsoft is developing related functions. In order to enable this option, users need to upgrade to Canary preview version 25314, then download Vive Tool from the GitHub repository, start Windows Terminal as an administrator, navigate to Vive Tool’s folder, and enter “vivetool /enable /id:43132439 “Order. Users need to restart their computers for the changes to take effect. If you want to revert the changes, users can use the “vivetool /disable /id:43132439” command. Please note that this method is risky and should not be enabled on the main machine.
