Malignancy of thyroid follicular cells or C cells (parafollicular cells).

According to tumor origin and degree of differentiation,

Thyroid cancer is mainly divided into:

Papillary Thyroid Cancer (PTC) ,

Follicular Thyroid Carcinoma (FTC),

medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) ,

Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer (ATC) .

Papillary Thyroid Cancer (PTC) and Follicular Thyroid Cancer (FTC)

Collectively called differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC) .

Differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC) accounts for 95% of thyroid cancers.

Among them, papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) is the most common.

It accounts for about 90% of all thyroid cancers .
