Apple’s A17 and M3 processors have exclusive production capacity TSMC’s 3nm process chips will be mass-produced next year

Recently, some overseas media reported that TSMC will mass-produce 3nm process chips next year. In August this year, TSMC official executives announced that they would mass-produce 3nm process chips in September, but at the recent financial report meeting, TSMC adjusted the 3nm process. The mass production time of process chips will be at the end of this year at the earliest. Previously, some media have exposed that there are at least 5 types of TSMC’s 3nm process. The first-generation N3 solution had many problems and was abandoned by customers, and was replaced by the N3E process solution. , power consumption and compatibility have been comprehensively improved.

The chip technology roadmap announced by TSMC

At present, the only manufacturers with strong demand for 3nm process chips are Apple’s A17 and M3 processors. Chip manufacturers such as Intel, AMD, Qualcomm, Nvidia, and MediaTek will hardly launch new products on the 3nm process in a short period of time, so next year, TSMC’s 3nm production capacity is likely to be exclusively owned by Apple.
