1-inch monster outsole exposed on Xiaomi Mi 13 Pro: align with 12S Ultra

Today’s news, the blogger Digital Chat Station hinted that the main camera of the Mi 13 Pro is a Sony IMX989 1-inch sensor, which is the same as the main camera of the Mi 12S Ultra, but the Mi 13 Pro is not equipped with a periscope telephoto camera.

As we all know, Sony IMX989 is the first commercial image sensor of Xiaomi 12S Ultra. This Sensor has a 1-inch super outsole, which is called “ceiling” by Xiaomi founder Lei Jun.

It was jointly developed by Xiaomi and Sony. Lei Jun revealed that the development cost of Sony IMX989 was US$15 million, and Xiaomi and Sony each paid half. This is not only a milestone for Xiaomi, but also a milestone in the field of mobile imaging.

Compared with the iPhone 13 Pro Max, the Sony IMX989 has a 72% increase in the photosensitive area, a 76% increase in the photosensitive capacity, a 32.5% increase in the camera speed, and an 11% increase in the startup speed.

With Sony IMX989, the image of Xiaomi Mi 13 Pro will be greatly improved. Not only that, the Mi 13 Pro is also expected to be equipped with an imaging system jointly developed by Xiaomi and Leica.

The machine is expected to provide Leica Classic and Leica Live quality. The same Leica custom filter, Leica classic shutter sound, Leica watermark, etc. will also be fully presented on Xiaomi Mi 13 Pro.

In terms of core configuration, Xiaomi Mi 13 Pro uses Samsung 2K E6 flexible curved screen, and may be the first to launch the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 flagship platform, which supports 120W super fast charging.

The machine is expected to be unveiled in November, when the Xiaomi Mi 13 will also be released on the same stage.
